Safeguarding at Hamstreet Primary Academy
At Hamstreet Primary Academy, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and supportive environment in which children can learn, develop and thrive.
We work closely with children, families and other agencies to identify concerns early, provide appropriate support and take action when a child may need help or protection.
If you are worried about a child, please tell us. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong before raising a concern.

What happens when I report a concern?
We understand that raising a safeguarding concern can sometimes feel difficult.
We will listen carefully to the information you provide and take your concern seriously. The school’s safeguarding team will consider what action is required and, where necessary, work with other agencies to make sure that children receive the right help and protection.
Information relating to safeguarding is handled sensitively and shared only where appropriate. However, we cannot promise to keep safeguarding information confidential if sharing it is necessary to protect a child.
Please do not delay reporting a concern because you are unsure whether it is serious enough.
